Local Gang – Coach Danny is holding his monthly “locals only” fielding workout tomorrow (Wednesday, 9/13) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the VCAA field. Coach expects everyone within a 45 minute drive to attend.

Coach Danny will make himself available after the workout for group batting in the cages under the lights at VCAA for those who want lessons from 7:30 – 8:30…max of 4 players so first come first served…let me know…thx!

For those of you who attend batting lessons at our home on Wednesdays, Coach will be available on Thursday if you prefer your “normal” lesson this week…please let me know asap…thx!

Coach apologizes for the scheduling issues…we are trying to work out a schedule for fielding and batting and stick to it!  We hope to accomplish this by the end of the month…thx for your patience!

A big Congrats to Annie Moore who has verbally committed to Manhattan College in NYC. She’s a Jasper!

It is very important that everyone gets a Skills Video so they can get in the recruiting curb. This is the single most important tool you can do to aid your player in getting the looks from schools that she may want to potentially play for. This is mandatory for all players on the 18Gold team & is Strongly encouraged that everyone in the Org. 14u & up have one.  There are many different ways to get one. They should be no more than 90 seconds to 2.5 min max. Below is the info for the person I endorse and she will give a discount for Victory USA members. The thing I like about her is she will actually reach out and shop your player to Schools. That being said your player still has to look good and be something they are looking for. None the less it will create interest. Annie has had 3 different skills videos and Stacy’s video got the most response. Annie has had several offers from schools that want her and multiple schools that cam e out to watch her based on the video. Here is Annies latest one. Below that is Stacy’s info.

It is being released to help athletes contact the college fastpitch softball coach at their favorite universities. So before you click the icons, I know you are probably thinking $3.99? Here’s the deal. I was maintaining a list of schools to help my daughter’s softball team before attending tournaments. I got a list of all NCAA schools from the NCAA directly. The list doesn’t tell you which schools have softball, so I spent a crazy amount of time putting together a list of the ones who did. I found and recorded coach names, phone numbers, emails, etc. I started emailing coaches before we went to big tournaments and I thought…. wow, this work is paying off. We started having girls commit to schools and schools were emailing back and asking if we have certain types of players at specific positions. Everytime I received one of these emails I would go to the education.gov site and look up the school to check out the enrollment and other metrics before replying. So here is where we are, I have a working list that includes all of the things you’d want to know about a school and a great app that puts all of this information right in your pocket.
